At present the Intermundos headquarters is being constructed in Taganga, a fishing village near Santa Marta on the Caribbean coast of Colombia. This house has been baptized Casa Biyuka after the river that for the first time in 60 years ran near our house during 6 months in 2010. Casa Biyuka is to serve in a first instance as the home of Juan and Vanessa from Intermundos and also as a recording studio. Casa Biyuka will eventually include living facilities for guest musicians interested in recording in our studios or for guest resident artists, ecologists, communicators, volunteers etc. who whish to to spend a period of time working with us in projects for the community or to develop their own investigations and projects. The house is being constructed with ecology in mind, most of the materials used are from the land or recycled. The house collects rain water, has dry bathrooms and passive cooling. We are constructing a blog where the process is being documented (in Spanish). We hope that our experimental eco-construction will be successful and serve as an inspiration to our community which unfortunately uses mainly cement bricks and zinc roofs for home construction.

Great idea for a studio and creating a community around music and eco living.
